The Guam Reef Hotel has announced the recent appointment of its new president and general manager.
Bringing in more than 30 years of experience, Yasuo Hoshino, the new general manager of the Guam Reef Hotel, has worked at nearly every level of the hospitality industry from waiter to guest service manager.
Although he has roots in city hotels such as the ANA Hotel in Tokyo, he says that operating island resorts is an exciting experience and hopes to make some improvements at the Guam Reef, considering that it is one of the oldest hotels on the island.
“Of course, my plan includes making a few renovations to make it more presentable and make better guestrooms. That’s what I’m planning. And now our staff is now planning to work on this new plan,” Hoshino said.
Hoshino adds that he enjoys working at the Guam Reef Hotel because the staffers treat each other and their guests like family.
