Senshu Tops Guam 4-1 In Soccer Exhibition

Guam-The Guam Men’s Select fell to Senshu University Select 4-1 in last night’s friendly match at Leopalace Resort.

The visiting Japanese went ahead in the 18th minute when Shohei Yoshii curled an effort past Guam goalkeeper Joe Laanan and into the bottom right corner. The exact same amount of time passed before Senshu scored an almost identical goal, this time through Shun Yamada, to make it 2-0 at halftime.
Substitute Satoru Shindo netted twice in the second half to seal the victory before Guam captain Matt Cruz headed a late consolation goal.
Senshu were brought to Guam by Sports Management, a Japan-based company that organized a tournament that featured the top team from each of the 47 prefectures in Japan. Senshu won that tournament and earned a trip to Guam to play a friendly match. They will do a little sight-seeing before leaving tomorrow morning.
