The Guam Veterans Treatment Court held its 8th Graduation Commencement Ceremony Tuesday morning.
The VTC combines rigorous treatment and services to veterans who are facing incarceration due to charges stemming from substance abuse and/or mental health.
If veterans are qualified and volunteer to be participants under the VTC program, they are required to make regular court appearances and mandatory attendance to treatment sessions.
Additionally, participants are subject to frequent and random testing for substance abuse.
With Guam still under PCOR1 restrictions, the event was held virtually and led by Judge Maria T. Cenzon.
Cezon presented certificates and a challenge coin to the 6 graduates, congratulating them for being able to complete the program despite pandemic conditions.
