Guam’s female business leaders gathered Thursday for the 5th annual Guam Women’s Chamber leadership conference.

Around 320 participants packed the Dusit Thani ballroom to watch four Guam daughters share their business journeys, including all the ups and downs.

The theme this year was “Coming Home” as three of the speakers are Guam women who moved stateside where they’re leading successful careers.

The three are back as keynote speakers for the Women’s Chamber conference entitled “Fanachu Famalao’an: Women Rising.”

While those in attendance were mostly from Guam’s business community, organizers were sure to inspire the next generation as well.

Johanna and Jarel-beth are 12th-grade students at JFK and were nominated to attend the event.

“This didn’t just meet my expectations, it exceeded them,” Johanna said.

Participants took part in Q&A sessions and do-it-yourself workshops.

There were also local vendors selling sustainable products, with booths to market their businesses as well.

There was even a photo booth for women wanting professional headshots.
