July 21st is a time for commemoration where people come together to reflect on the atrocities the island's people experienced during World War II and to celebrate the end of the Japanese occupation. Because in-person celebrations can't be held this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the governor proclaimed July 2020 as a month to reflect and recognize our island's history.

The 78th Guam Liberation Celebration is back and ready for the people of Guam to enjoy the festivities after 2 years.
