It has been almost a week since the jury entered deliberations in the case involving the Mangilao machete attacks.
Two young brothers — Emmanuel Reselap and Jordan Rachulap — were arrested in connection with a stabbing and several attacks on motorists and passersby after a family quarrel spilled out into the streets of Mangilao.
Just before 5 p.m. on Friday, a verdict was reached after days of deliberation. The two brothers were found guilty of most of the charges filed against them.
Emmanuel Reselap was found guilty of aggravated assault, two counts of terrorizing, two counts of criminal mischief and family violence as a misdemeanor
Jordan Rachulap was found guilty of two counts of criminal mischief and two counts of terrorizing.
Prosecuting attorney Sean Brown says although a conviction was not secured on all counts, justice has been served.
The sentencing date for the two defendants has not yet been determined.
