Gutierrez Accuses Calvo of “Win At All Costs” Strategy

295

Guam -The Democratic Gubernatorial team of former Governor Carl Gutierrez and Senator Frank Aguon has sent out a mass email to their supporters accusing the GOP team of Calvo/Tenorio of employing a “win at all cost strategy.”

The email also urges Gutierrez-Aguon supporters to “welcome” disenchanted republicans who supported the Cruz-Espaldon ticket who may be “looking for a place to call home after the nasty, personal attacks that were meant to humiliate the Lt. Governor and his running mate.”

Read the email reprinted below:

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Frank and I cannot thank you enough for the support you showed us in Saturday’s primary election.

Now that the Republicans have finished fighting with each other it is time to show them that when it comes to uniting people together for the good of our island Democrats lead the way.

The first way we demonstrate this is to welcome the Cruz-Espaldon supporters who are looking for a place to call home after the nasty, personal attacks that were meant to humiliate the Lt. Governor and his running mate in the “win at all costs” strategy employed by the Calvo-Tenorio

Next, in unity with our friends from the Cruz-Espaldon camp we will stand strong together and in saying that democracy on our island is not for sale.  It is no secret that our opponent in the November election intends to once again employ this win at all costs strategy.

In the weeks ahead you are going to hear a lot about the military build-up, education, health, economic development and other issues that are important to our island and its people.  The solutions to these pressing issues –from both our side and the Republican team– will sound similar.  The differences, and what sets us apart, will be the proven leadership experience and ability to carry out those solutions both here at home and in Washington that the Gutierrez-Aguon team brings to the table.

More on that next time.

Thank you and Si Yu’ose Ma’ase and Maraming Salamat Po.

Carl and Frank campaign.
