(Hagåtña, Guam)- The Democratic Party of Guam announced today that the Gutierrez-Gumataotao team is hitting the ground running with its first pocket meeting scheduled for 6:00 p.m., Friday July 4.  The meeting will be held at the Muna family compound in Mangilao between the residences of Mrs. Ann Muna and Mrs. Dolores Muna.  At this grassroots meeting, Governor Carl Gutierrez and Attorney Gary Gumataotao will speak to the issues that matter to working families including the high cost of living, the rising crime rate, and the need to change the direction our island is heading. The site of this meeting has special significance to the Gutierrez-Gumataotao campaign as was also the home of late Bill Muna, who was a close personal friend of Governor Gutierrez.

Democratic candidates for the US Congress and the Legislature will also have opportunity to address the gathering. State Chair Sen. Rory Respicio noted, “The meeting is open to anyone concerned about the future direction of this island whether they be Democrat, Republican or Independent.”
