GVB invites public to watch New Year’s Eve fireworks at Ypao beach


The Guam Visitors Bureau is inviting residents and visitors alike to enjoy the New Year’s eve fireworks display at Ypao beach.

Guam – GVB is calling it the #Guamazing New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show and they are touting it as a family friendly signature event. There will be live entertainment, face painting, henna art, balloon art, live caricature and food trucks beginning at 5:00pm on December 31st until 12:30am. The fireworks will be launched at midnight to a synchronized music soundtrack and they will last for about ten minutes.

“So, we’re happy to present our Guamazing New Year’s Eve Fireworks show presented by GVB along with our sponsors Matson, PIC, T-Gallery by DFS, Hilton, Cabras and United. And so, we’re excited for this year’s show. It will be launched at a barge off Ypao beach. We had a ten-minute show we had a great show last year so we’re really looking forward to this year’s show. We also down here at Ypao started last year a free event for the families so we’ll have food trucks some entertainment so people wanna come down and enjoy and watch the fireworks at Ypao beach down here at Ypao beach it’s a great opportunity. Also throughout Tumon and this area we have lots of the hotels doing lots of different events so lots of things going on for people to enjoy our New Year’s Eve,” said GVB CEO Nate Denight.

There are other fireworks displays near the Sheraton hotel, the Gun Beach and the Leo Palace Resort. The Guamazing New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show at the Ypao beach or Governor Joseph F. Flores Memorial Park is free to the public.
