GVB’s Galito Replaced by Former 1st Lady Joanne Camacho

Guam – Ernie Galito is out, and former first lady Joanne Camacho is in at the Guam Visitors Bureau.

The GVB Board last night [Thursday] voted to replace Galito with Camacho as Deputy General Manager.

Galito told PNC News this morning that he will stay to do “a hand over” and make sure that all the duties that he carried out “are properly handed over to Joanne Camacho so that she can continue the mission of the Guam Visitor’s Bureau.”

As for his future, Galito said “After I complete the hand over, then I’ll be released from the Guam Visitor’s Bureau and look forward to seeing the mission continue by the staff here.”

During his term at GVB, Galito was instrumental in the success of the new “Village Fiesta Tours” launched by GVB, he has also been at the forefront of the successful “Village Mural Campaign” and helped to significantly increased the number of island businesses that are participating in GVB’s “Hafa Adai Pledge Campaign.”
