Guam – The Guam Visitors Bureau launched its “Guam Love” campaign last Friday, just in time for Valentine’s weekend.
The campaign will run through March 14th. Its a social media promotion that combines America’s “Valentine’s Day” and Japan’s “White Day”.
The campaign featured a “Love Light” festival in Tumon where couples could get a “Guam Love” photo and enjoy the “Love Light” attraction.
There was also a fireworks display Friday night that will be part of the campaign, every weekend .
GVB General Manager Karl Pangelinan said “its an opportunity to show what we love best about our island.” And he is encouraging the community to participate in the campaign by sharing photos depicting what they love about Guam, or snapping a photo at the “Guam- Love Light Park” with the hash-tag “Guam-love.”
GVB says its all part of their plan to make 2014 “The Year of Love” for the Guam visitor market.
