Guam – Feelings of pride and joy were felt as more than 430 graduates of George Washington High School marched into the UOG Field House this afternoon.
1983 George Washington High School Graduate Lt Governor Ray Tenorio reflected on his time as a gecko during today’s ceremony.
“GW taught me many things,” the Lt. Governor said during his keynote address.
Tenorio, whose son also graduated from GW today, congratulated the graduates for all they achieved to get to the point they’re at today. He also encouraged them to continue persevering through life.
“Life’s not easy, its hard” Tenorio told the graduates.
Moments before the graduating seniors marched into the Field House they also reflected on their time in high school.
“It’s overwhelming, I can’t believe I made it” Brianna Tenorio told PNC.
