GWA Gets $55 Million From DOD for Buildup Related Projects

The funds were promised to GWA as part of a $106.4 Million appropriation passed by Congress and sponsored by Guam Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo according to a release from the Congresswoman’s office. 

Guam – The Department Of Defense has awarded the Guam Waterworks Authority $55 Million to help with civilian water And wastewater projects related to the upcoming military buildup. 

 

The funds were promised to GWA as Part Of A $106.4 Million appropriation passed by Congress and sponsored by Guam Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo according to a release from the Congresswoman’s office. The release states that close to $21 Million will go to the Northern District Water Treatment Plant, close to $31 Million to go to sewer line replacement and almost $4 Million to go to the monitoring/expansion and rehabilitation Of Guam’s main freshwater source, The Northern Guam Lens Aquifer.
