Guam – A concerned resident notified PNC of a GWA sewer leak near Adelup that looks like it is not being pumped correctly.

Guam Waterworks Authority spokesperson Heidi Ballendorf tells PNC that because of the location of the leak, GWA had to set up a temporary pump until a vendor can be contracted to fix the leak. GWA is using a pump motor to pump the leaking sewage back into the manhole until they can find a vendor to fix the problem. This area is no stranger to broken sewer lines, in February, GWA shut down parts of Asan near Adelup because of a corroded sewer line. Meanwhile, GWA is in the midst of inspecting their vast sewer line network, especially in the Asan/Adelup area, which is in need of continuous repairs.
