Guam – George Washington High School will hold a public hearing on its Fiscal Year 2014 budget on Thursday, November 15 at 6pm in the school’s library.
All GWHS Stakeholders are invited to the meeting. Assistant Principal Darlene Roberto explains that the budget hearing will allow stakeholders to provide input on what they’d like to see happen at the school. Superintendent Jon Fernandez has asked all DOE schools to begin focusing on their individual budgets for FY 2014. Rather than holding budget hearings by region this budget cycle they will be held at each individual school.
Roberto says the budget includes plans to accelerate student achievement, improve college and career readiness for student, improving teaching effectiveness and integrating technology into the classroom.
