Halola is expected to intensify over the next few days.
Guam – Halola (01C) was downgraded to a tropical storm overnight.
While moving at about 12 MPH towards west, Halola lost much of its strength and so now its Maximum Maintained Winds are only about 40 MPH. However, the National Weather Service says in its latest Public Advisory that Halola is expected to gradually intensify again while heading towards general direction of west-northwest.
As of 1PM (CHST), Tropical Storm Halola was about 410 miles west of Wake Island and about 1,095 miles east-northeast of Guam. This circulation is expected to pass north of the Marianas early next week.
