The Guam Fire Department has declared the Harmon Industrial Park Fire under control although some white smoke was still billowing out of it as of 8 a.m. today, marking the second day of the fire.

GFD said the longevity of the fire is due to the fact that it is “deep-seated.” The warehouse that caught on fire belongs to Dewitt, a moving company, and it is believed that many flammable materials were inside the building.

GFD units were still on the scene working on the fire as of Thursday morning. GFD said further assessment will be conducted.
