The P.D. Hemlani Foundation has donated 300 care packages to the Department of Public Health Division of Senior Citizens.
The care packages included towels, body soaps, shampoo, and conditioner that will be distributed through the Department’s Aging Services programs.
“We are happy to partner with (Public Health) to ensure our donation of 300 care packages reaches those Manamko who need assistance,” said Vashi B. Hemlani, Foundation President.
The Hemlani Foundation does not provide individual donations but recognizes the financial difficulties thousands of people in Guam currently face as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Un Dangkulo Na Si Yu’us Ma’ase , many thanks, to P.D. Hemlani Foundation for their generosity and support of seniors on Guam who are in need,” said Arthur San Agustin, Senior Citizens Administrator. “We will be working with our Case Management Programs and our Care Giver Programs to identify our seniors and care givers who need these toiletry items.”
For seniors who live alone and have little to no family support, or no access to transportation, small donations of basic toiletries can have a huge impact.
The Hemlani Foundation’s mission is to enhance the quality of life of individuals, families and communities by creating opportunities and providing assistance for continued growth in health, education and social welfare.
