The man accused of murdering Luciana Polly is now facing additional charges after a grand jury handed down an indictment late yesterday afternoon.

Kanter Herry was arrested two days after Lucianna Polly was found unclothed and beaten to death on Ramirez Street in Toto. He was initially charged with murder and aggravated assault as police waited for the results of Polly’s autopsy report. The report confirmed that her death was a homicide, and that she died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head but no other findings were made public.

However, an indictment handed down yesterday, accuses Herry of raping Polly, stating it “occurred under circumstance involving another felony, namely aggravated assault.” The indicted also stated that Herry strangled Polly at some point during the incident.

Based on this, Herry is now charged with aggravated murder, murder, first-degree criminal sexual conduct aggravated assault, and strangulation.
