The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded $736,610 to the Government of Guam for disbursements to our island’s health centers, as part of the provisions passed in the CARES Act.

“We continue to see the federal money we secured in the CARES Act roll in to fund our medical front lines,” opened Congressman San Nicolas. “Stocking and staffing our public health centers with additional capacity during these times will save lives,” added Congressman San Nicolas.

Community health centers may use the awards to help communities detect coronavirus; prevent, diagnose, and treat COVID-19; and maintain or increase health capacity and staffing levels to address this public health emergency.
