The Highway Patrol Division has been activated to investigate the fatal Yigo auto-pole crash Sunday night.
According to GPD preliminary reports, the operator of a Nissan Murano lost control of his vehicle as he was traveling north by Mt. Santa Rosa Drive then collided with a concrete utility pole.
The 26-year-old male operator was immediately transported to Guam Regional Medical City, where he was later pronounced deceased by attending physicians.
According to GPD spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao, the case is still ongoing as traffic investigators have yet to determine if speed, alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
