Guam – Hilton Guam Resort and Spa’s Ariel Morota was recognized at Guam Visitors Bureau’s Annual Golden Latte Award ceremony.
Out of 14 nominees, in the HERO (Hospitality Employees aRe Outstanding) non-supervisory category, Ariel came out on top as the winner.
The Golden Latte Awards, presented by the Guam Visitors Bureau and the Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association, recognizes the island’s best hospitality industry professionals. The award ceremony promotes the “Hafa Adai Spirit”, the hospitable attitude that the island is known for.
Ariel is often commended by guests at Hilton Guam Resort and Spa. Ariel has received numerous “Hilton – Catch me at my Best Comment Cards” as well as emails commenting on his professional service and friendly attitude. “I think that great service is a ripple effect; small deeds can create waves when everyone gets involved,” Ariel says.
Ariel has worked at Hilton Guam Resort and Spa for over 2 years, starting at the Executive Lounge. He has since transferred to the food and beverage department, working in Roy’s Restaurant. Before his recognition at the 2013 Golden Latte Awards, Ariel has won Team Member of the Month in July of 2012, and Team Member of the Year in 2012. Glenda Villa, Director of Guest Relations, who oversees the Executive Lounge, states “Ariel’s personalized service to all our VIP guests is exemplary. He addresses our guests by names; remember their favorite drinks, favorite food and special occasions in their life.”
