The emergence of COVID-19 on Guam has drastically changed the way that we live our lives — from going to work, making a quick trip to the grocery store, and even paying the bills.

In this ever-changing situation, residents can now pay their utility bills through a drive-thru payment system.

Customers can now pay for their power and water bills at the GWA drive-thru payment window in Upper Tumon on a first-come, first-serve basis.

GWA Spokesperson Heidi Ballendorf says that on Monday, around 450 cars lined up to make their payments. She also anticipates that the drive-thru will be ongoing for the next few weeks, if not months.

“Our daily operation is 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.. However, we will be closing the fence because of the length of time it takes to process. By 3 o’clock, it’ll be tough for us to accept any more customers. But we’ll take as many customers from 8:30 through 3:30 Monday through Friday. This operation will go on indefinitely until the general manager and the assistant general manager make the determination to stop it,” Ballendorf said.

This service will be available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the GWA Upper Tumon drive-thru window.
