Hunting season extended to September 30

The Department of Agriculture (DOAG) is authorizing a special hunt. The hunting season typically ends on March 31, 2021, but will be extended to September 30, 2021 (9 GAR §11126 Special Designated Hunts).

Hunters are reminded to obtain a Fiscal Year 2021 hunting license at the DOAG Division of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources (DAWR) located in Mangilao Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm. The Hunting license fee is $15, and hunters will not be required to use deer tags. The use of deer tags will be suspended for the special hunt to ease the financial obligation of paying for tags.

DOAG will also be conducting “Hunters Check Stations” throughout the Island of Guam in accordance with 9 GAR §11112 Inspection of License and Game Bag.

Hunters are duly informed of the following:

The hunting license and game bag or kill are subject at all times to inspection by any Peace Officer of the Territory or DOAG Biologist.
Hunters are obliged to stop at any check station established and are subject to random field checks conducted for this purpose.

For more information, please contact: DOAG Division of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources (DAWR) at 735-0282/94 or the Law Enforcement Section at 300-0760.
