Mangilao, Guam – Last Wednesday, March 26, the Father Duenas Memorial School ROTC Cadets adopted a stretch of Route 10 around their school, pledging to keep it clean.
The stretch begins at the front of their school and includes the two roads surrounding it.
This was the 25th stretch of roadway adopted under the Islandwide Beautification Task Force’s [IBTF] Roadway Adoption Program [RAP]. The program is administered by the Office of the Lt. Governor.
The program encourages, promotes, and invites businesses, organizations, and individuals to take an active role in the community by adopting a stretch of roadway for a 2-year period or more.
The Islandwide Beautification Task Force envisions that one-day, Guam’s approximately 170 miles of highways and 600 miles of village roadways will be adopted.
At this time more than 1/3 of the 170 miles of Guam’s busy highways have been faithfully adopted by 55 partners.
