Tamuning, Guam – Guam Premium Outlets has adopted a stretch of Route 14 in partnership with the Islandwide Beautification Task Force (IBTF).
The stretch of Route 14 adopted by GPO extends from from the Route 1 intersection to Elite Bakery in Tamuning.
The IBTF’s Roadway Adoption Program (RAP) is administered by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.
The program encourages, promotes, and invites businesses, organizations, and individuals to take an active role in the community by adopting a stretch of roadway for a 2-year period or more.
The GPO plaque was unveiled during an unveiling ceremony in Tamuning yesterday. It is the 30th stretch of island road to be adopted since the program was launch in February 2013.
The Islandwide Beautification Task Force envisions that, one day, Guam’s approximately 170 miles of highways and 600 miles of village roadways will be adopted. At this time more than 1/3 of the 170 miles of Guam’s busy highways have been faithfully adopted.
Thanks to the dedication of our 58 RAP Partners, the Roadway Adoption Program will continue to grow and contribute to the greater good of our island for our residents and visitors alike.
