GPA and GWA will resume normal business hours on Monday at 7 am.
Guam – power and water ratepayers are reminded that GPA and GWA along with the rest of GovGuam are closed today.
GPA Spokesperson Heidi Ballendorf says GPA will resume normal business hours on Monday and will assess its infrastructure after Typhoon Dolphin passes Guam. Ballendorf says crews will go out in full force to restore power if needed and to repair any downed power lines if necessary. In the meantime, if you have a bill that’s past due, Ballendorf says not to worry.
“You’ll need to wait till Monday, especially if there isn’t power at home and you wanna pay online,” says Ballendorf. “Today all of our employees are at home because we want them to stay safe and do what they need to do to take care of their own households. As far as getting cut off, residents don’t need to worry. Nobody’s getting cut off. We’ve got too much other things we’ve gotta be dealing with. Let’s get through the storm and then we’ll pick back up on Monday.”
Guam Power and Guam Water will reopen on Monday at 7 am at their main office in Fadian.
