Some of the issues up for discussion included “accessibility, athletic global competitiveness, energy and infrastructure, family, Inafa Maolek, language diversity, cultural diversity celebration, journalism and accountability and more. The convention is part of the Imagine Guam visioning process, which according to Ngirairikl, will aim to produce a unified vision of what Guam will look like in 50 years. The keynote speaker for the event was part owner of Crowns Guam, Marvin Manibusan who spoke about how Crowns grew from a small business to one of the largest businesses on Guam brining in over 6 million in sales last year.

“I really think the crowns story plays into this Imagine Guam movement because it really inspires people to go out and follow their dreams, to push boundaries to knock down borders, by listening to our story by listening to our story, it lets them know that if these kids can do it, they can do it too,” said Manibusan.
