Inetnon Gefpå’Go and Bayanihan Hold Joint Press Conference Ahead of Folk Festival

Guam – Two familiar cultures, two familiar dance groups will join forces this week for the first annual folk dance festival. Two award winning dance groups: Guam’s Inenton Gef Pago and The Philippines Byanihan will join forces for the first annual folk dance festival. Ahead of the festival officials, and representatives from both groups held a press conference at the Sheraton Hotel. The festival will be a weeklong celebration of Guam and Filipino arts and dance. For the first time on Guam, Bayanihan and Inetnon Gef Pago will be side-by-side performing for festivalgoers. The festival will begin on December 2 at 7 p.m. at Southern High School and will run through     December 4. On Thursday and Friday, Southern Got talent will join the festival. According to Inetnon Gef Pago executive director Vince Reyes, ‘Southerns Got Talent’ is in response to recent school fights that have circulated on social media.

 

 

The Wednesday night performance will begin at 7 p.m. at southern high school gym, tickets are $10. The Thursday and Friday showings are for students in the public school system and they will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday and the Friday showing will begin at 8 a.m. with another showing at 11 a.m. Tickets for both Thursday and Friday are $5.
