Guam – The Office of the Governor, the Guam Buildup Office, and the Subcommittee on Health and Social Services will be hosting an Island Wide Health and Social Services Fair this Saturday August 21st at the Agana Shopping Center; and Sunday August 22nd at the Micronesia Mall from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The Health Fair will highlight various health and social services available in both the public and private sector, as well as heighten the public’s awareness on the need to develop a plan which serve as a platform on health needs to formulate a plan of action.
There will also be free blood pressure, glucose screenings, and health counseling. Dr. Tom Shieh will be on hand Sunday at the Micronesia Mall to offer FREE 4D Ultrasounds to pregnant women in their second trimester. Exhibitors at the Fair include public, private and non-governmental organizations in the health and social services field.
Lieutenant Governor Michael Cruz, M.D. encourages everyone to stop by, “Our island is at a pivotal point regarding our health and social services, if you have an issue or concern regarding to the state of health care and social services, then please stop in and provide your comments”.
