Guam – A 49 year old Pohnpeian man was treated and released from Guam Memorial Hospital after being stabbed Thursday night  at the Tumon Bayview Condominiums on Rivera Road in Tumon.

The man had been stabbed in the chest, but GMH Nursing Supervisor Supervisor Maria Mafnas said the wounds “weren’t too deep.”

Acting  Guam Police Spokesman Lt. Arthur Paulino described the victim’s injury as being a two to three inch stab wound from his sternum to the left side of his chest.

The suspect fled the scene, but Lt. Paulino says he he was later arrested outside the DFS store on San Vitrores Road in Tumon.  He has been identified as 34 year old Jack Tochoy Lessoy. He was booked and confined on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, public drunkenness and family violence.

Lt. Paulino said the motive for the stabbing appears to have been an argument over a woman.
