Guam – Japan airlines held a special farewell event for its Boeing 747 aircraft at the A.B. Won Pat International Airport on Sunday.
JAL officially retired the B747 “jumbo jet” from its Japan to Guam route during the event.
Dignitaries, including Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio, and K-57 Breakfast Show Host Ray Gibson, were invited to fly on board as the plane did four four touch-and-go landings.
Hundreds of spectators watched from the ground.
Most major airlines have now replaced their 747’s with Boeing 777’s.
