Japan Diet Approves Revised Pact on US Marines Move to Guam


Guam – The Japanese Diet has approved a revised pact on the transfer of  U.S. Marines from Okinawa to Guam.


According to Japanese media reports, Japan will pay one-third of  the cost of transferring the Marines to Guam under the terms of the “revised bilateral protocol”.

The cost is estimated at $8.6 billion. Japan will pay up to $2.8 billion, accoding to the report.
