Japanese Meteorological Agency Names Tropical Storm 3W “Sanvu”

Guam – The Japanese Meteorological Agency has issued the name “Sanvu” to Tropical Storm 3W.

In the western Pacific, names for tropical storms and typhoons are issued by the Japanese Meteorological Agency.

According to the JMA’s website, the origin of the name “Sanvu” is from Macau in China and in Cantonese it means “coral”.
