Guam – Jeffrey B. Jones, has been promoted from Executive Vice President to President and Chief Operating Officer. Jeff is the second-eldest of Robert Jones’ three children and was born and raised on Guam. In his new role, he will oversee the company’s operations which include diverse businesses in Guam, Saipan, Ebeye, Majuro, and California.
The Triple J group of companies has several major operations which include the Triple J Auto Group, which represents Ford, Lincoln, Mazda, Honda, Acura, Kia, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, and a used car dealership. The Triple J Restaurant Group owns Outback Steakhouse in Guam, Tony Roma’s and Capricciosa in Saipan, and the Palau Angus Steakhouse in Palau.

Jones learned the family business from the bottom up. “My first job at Triple J was washing cars,” he says. “One of the things you learn is that even if the job is monotonous, sticking to it and seeing it through to completion is important. Not only in a job but in life.” His interest in automotive sales led him to eventually head up the company’s largest division, Triple J Autogroup. “I enjoy that part of the business,” he says, “It’s a challenge, it’s such a demanding business – being able to manage that and also being able to oversee some of the other businesses, but, fortunately, we have a really good team.”

Jones says he has enormous respect for his father as the driving force behind the company. He believes the reason for Triple J’s success is its dedication to customers, its employees and personal commitment. “We want to maintain long term relationships with our customers and employees. We’re going to be here long-term, we hope they will be too.”

Jones graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in business. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Guam Chamber of Commerce and was past president of the Guam Auto Dealers Association. With a full plate, he still makes his family and faith a priority. He is a member of the board at the Bayview Church and Pacific Mission Aviation.
