Jeju Air to kick off new Guam-Muan service

Jeju Air will start daily direct service from Muan, a new gateway from South Korea for the winter season, starting December 24, 2019 to March 7, 2020.

To commemorate the inaugural flight, GVB and the A.B. Won Pat International Airport Authority (GIAA) will be having a special welcome service, tomorrow, Dec. 24, at Gate 18.

A Boeing 737 aircraft will be used with the following flights:

* 7C3114 MWX0730 – 1240GUM 737 2
* 7C3114 MWX0830 – 1340GUM 737 x2

* 7C3113 GUM1540 – 1920MWX 737 D

Muan International Airport is considered a new gateway to and from South Korea.

The airport serves the Jeollanam-do, especially the cities of Gwangju, Mokpo, and Naju. It replaced the nearby Mokpo Airport and is expected to replace the nearby Gwangju Airport in the near future as well.

In 2018, 543,247 passengers used the airport, which is managed by the Korea Airports Corporation.
