Inaugural Jeju Air Flight Arrives on Guam, With Governor Calvo Aboard

Guam – Island leaders were on board the inaugural flight of  Jeju Air  as it arrived at the A.B. Won Pat International Airport Thursday afternoon.

Jeju Air is a low cost Korean carrier and it plans dailyu flights from South Korea’s Inchon airport to Guam.

Walking off the plane Thursday afternoon, along with the arriving passengers, was Governor Eddie Calvo, Tourism Committee Chair Senator Tina Muna Barnes, GVB Deputy General Manager Nat Denight and others island political and business leaders.

The Governor and his delegation all flew up to Korea Wednesday, or earlier, and came back down to Thursday to help celebrate the launch of the new service.

Jeju Air is Korea’s third largest carrier. Two other Korean carriers, Korean Air and Jin Air, already have regularly scheduled flights to Guam.
