Jerome Cruz Arrested For Attempted Murder


37-year-old Jerome Camacho Cruz was arrested with an attempted charge relative to a shooting incident that occurred on February 20th of this year.

According to the Guam Police Department, Patrol officers from the Dededo Precinct command responded to a report of a shooting at 112 Adelfa Court, Dededo.

GPD reported that upon arrival, they noted a 27-year-old CHamoru male, slumped over a chair with severe injuries to his abdomen and back area.

According to the official magistrate’s report, the victim and Cruz were arguing over an item that Cruz claimed that the victim stole. A fight ensued after the argument, which lead to Cruz ultimately shooting the victim.

The victim, who was transported to the Guam Memorial Hospital, was able to identify Jerome Cruz as the person who shot him.

Moreover, the magistrate’s report stated that GPD was able to locate Cruz on March 8th when he met with his probation officer.

Cruz was charged with 1st degree attempted murder as a felony, aggravated assault as a 2nd-degree felony, aggravated assault as 3rd-degree felony and possession of a firearm without an identification card.
