Jk Sukion was sentenced to eight years imprisonment by Judge Barcinas for Manslaughter as a First Degree Felony.
Sukion is responsible for the death of a man who he repeatedly struck in the head with a metal pipe in 2019. The victim eventually passed away as a result of the injuries.
Prosecuting Attorney Sean Brown, who argued for the maximum sentencing under the terms of the plea agreement, said, “The court’s ruling on the sentence shows that even if the victim has no family to testify on his behalf, and even if the defendant’s conduct was based on alcohol rather than direct, intentional behavior, a lengthy period in jail is still going to be the result. Alcohol is not an excuse to kill.”
