In preparation for their annual swimming event, Special Olympics Guam is welcoming people with intellectual disabilities and cognitive delays to join their aquatics program.
The free two-month training period is open to individuals of all swimming levels and will meet every Saturday from April 6 to May 25 at the Hagåtña Pool.
Sessions for those who are 8 to 17 years old will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. for those 18 and above.
The aquatics competition will be held on June 1 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Because of the uncertainty regarding the Hagåtña Pool reopening in time for the first few sessions, practices may be held at the Dededo Sports Complex.
