Guam – Joint Region Marianas celebrates African-American History month.

At the command headquarters in Asan  yesterday February 27th,  Joint Region Marianas (JRM) Commander Rear Adm. Tilghman Payne spoke  about the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and encouraged his staff to treat people with fairness and respect during a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and African-American History Month. 

The JRM Diversity and Inclusion Committee hosted the event to promote awareness of the sacrifices, struggles and accomplishments made by African Americans, as well as their positive role in the armed services.
