Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo has announced that Jonah Whitt has been appointed to the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Jonah is the son of Caesar and Andrea Whitt of Ordot and will graduate from St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School in May 2014. Jonah was nominated by Congresswoman Bordallo and competed with high school students nationwide for admission into the Air Force Academy Preparatory School.
Jonah is an active member of several academic and extra-curricular organizations. He has served as the President of the St. Thomas Aquinas World Language Club, is a member of the Concentus Choir, and Vice President of the Tech Crew. Jonah also participates in intramural sports with Simon Sanchez High School where he is the captain of the wrestling team and a defensive linebacker on the football team.
“I congratulate Jonah Whitt on his appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy Prep School,” said Congresswoman Bordallo. “Jonah has a strong desire to serve our country and I am confident the USAFA Prep School will prepare him for the Air Force Academy and for his future service as an officer in the Air Force.”
