Guam – The Joint Typhoon Warning Center [JTWC] reports that the center of Tropical Storm 3W is now west of Guam and tracking north-west away from the Marianas.
Highlights from the JTWC advisory:
* Tropical Storm 3W should continue to pass south and west of Guam during the next 12 hours
* current intensity 35 knots
* favorable environment for further development.
* satellite imagery shows a significant consolidation of convection around the low level circulation center (llcc) just south west of Guam over the past six hours, leading to a much more symmetric satellite presentation.
