For Law Month 2023, which is celebrated in April, the Judiciary of Guam sponsors creative contests for K-12 students.
In recognition of Law Month, the Judiciary of Guam, the District Court of Guam, and the Guam Bar Association are sponsoring a series of contests for students of all grades.
This year’s Law Month theme is “Cornerstones of Democracy: Civics, Civility and Collaboration.”
To enter, students from different grades must create a piece of artwork or write an essay that answers a given question.
Grades k-2 will have a coloring contest, for grades 3-5 an art contest and lastly, grades 6-8 and 9-12 will have an essay contest.
The top three winners in each category will receive a prize, certificate and will be honored at the Law Month awards ceremony.
The last day to submit a piece is on April 21.
Entries must be emailed to eeschbach@guamcourts.gov or deliver them to the third floor at the Guam Judicial Center.
