Junior Achievement Guam Brings Back Bronze From International Competition

Guam – Junior Achievement of Guam’s HOME team placed 3rd in the Asia Pacific 2013 Junior Achievement Company of the Year Competition held
at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from February 25 – 27.

JA Guam sent HOME and LEGIT to the competition. Both teams participated in local trade fairs and were chosen by judges to represent the island. The JA Company Program allowed various teams to manage a budget and create unique products. Winners of the local competition were sent to Kuala Lumpur to compete on a regional level.

David Beaver, JA Guam Board Chairman, says, “We’re very happy with the outcome of this competition and are very proud of HOME and LEGIT. Both teams did an excellent job representing Guam.” He says, “It is our mission at JA to provide the much needed resources to students interested in business. The success of our students is very important to us and we’re happy that Guam was represented well.”
