Junior Achievement Guam, in partnership with Title Guaranty, will be hosting a financial literacy workshop for middle schoolers.
Dubbed “JA Economics for Success,” the workshop will introduce middle schoolers to various elements of personal finance, along with the importance of identifying education and career goals based on their personal skills and values.
The workshop will be facilitated by high school students who participated in this past year’s company program, providing a peer to peer mentoring aspect to the middle school program.
Mark Wang, a student lead for the program, spoke about the program saying, “The core goals of JA Economics for Success is really about helping students get prepared for high school and beyond.”
The workshop will be split into four subject areas:
Identifying and exploring career interests
and spending methods.
The workshop will be held on July 12th on Guam Community College from 9AM to 12PM.
