Jury: Derick James Simmons Guilty On 5 Counts

According to the Office of the Attorney General, yesterday, a Jury found Derick James Simmons guilty of 5 counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct as a first-degree felony after a 4-day trial that began last week.

According to the OAG, both of his victims were under the age of 14 at the time of the incidents.

Simmons was remanded into custody immediately following his conviction and is scheduled to be sentenced before Judge Arthur Barcinas at a date yet to be set by the Court.
