179 tests for COVID-19 have been conducted since Friday and just one new positive case of COVID-19 has been reported.
The return to low or no positive cases comes as a welcome relief following last Wednesday’s spike of 11 cases … 10 of whom were found in the same neighborhood in Yigo.
There were no positive cases on Thursday. On Friday, 77 tests were conducted, none were positive. On Saturday, only 5 tests were carried out and one COVID-19 cases was confirmed by GMH.
On Sunday, samples from 97 people were tested and none of them came back positive for the disease.
The public health lab was closed today for the Memorial Day holiday. Testing will resume tomorrow.
Since the crisis began in mid-March, there have been 166 confirmed cases of the COVID-19. And 138 people have been released from isolation after presumably recovering from the disease. Five people have died.
