Recently, light was shed on San Nicolas’s interactions with certain media outlets, with San Nicolas making advertisement contract deals to cast a favorable light on San Nicolas.

In interviews with Newstalk K57’s Patti Arroyo, Troy Torres of Kandit News and Romeo Carlos of Guam Blog spoke out about their involvement in the matter.

Romeo Carlos of the Guam Blog described interactions between San Nicolas and media outlets in regard to advertising contracts.

Troy Torres of Kandit News denied having any advertising contracts with San Nicolas, despite their long history together.

In his interview, Carlos briefly confirmed San Nicolas and Torres’ long history back to their college days with incriminating claims on San Nicolas’s relationship with money; further corroborating criminal allegations of his unethical use of funds.

The two interviewees talked of the meeting in which San Nicolas illegally procured $10,000 from a single donor.

Torres even questioned the existence of this witness who was claimed to be at the bar with Manuel and San Nicolas.

The official report confirmed the interaction between San Nicolas, Campaign Director Manuel, and a close friend of San Nicolas who was the $10,000 donor.

In addition to the report, the Board recommends that the Committee further review the allegations that San Nicolas converted campaign funds to personal use or that his campaign committee expended funds that were not attributable to bona fide or verifiable campaign or political purposes.

Delegate San Nicolas declined to provide requested information to the Office of Congressional Ethics, thereby not cooperating with the OCE review.
