Guam – On Weds. night the 73rd liberation carnival kicked off.
18-year-old Kaemiha Muna of Santa Rita was crowned the 73rd liberation queen for raising over $55 thousand dollars. She is the Daughter of the late Francisco Diaz Muna and Mrs. Selene Concepcion Muna. This year the candidates raised over $143 thousand dollars. The funds they raised will go to assist in the memorials and prayer services as well as this year’s 73rd liberation day parade.01
Also, the Liberation day parade will feature SMG’s 10th annual canopies on parade. The deadline to enter has been extended by popular demand to Monday, July, 17 at the close of business. “On the parade route make sure you keep those numbers visible and get ready to win. I want to thank everybody who already signed up and obviously everybody else who’s gonna sign up,” said Power 98’s Kyle Mandapat.
Those interested in competing in the annual canopy decorating contest can now register at the SMG offices on the first floor of the Broadcast Centre at Acanta in Tumon. Registration is free to all. Great prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers.
